Frankly Speaking - Ego....is yours big, small or balanced?
Why do so many people base their self-worth around someone or something outside of self? Whether it is a lover, a partner, children, friends, job or whatever--Why do you think people are searching for someone or something to bring a validation to their self worth? Does your self worth drive you or do you drive it?
In our authored series, Inner Journey and in our readings we encouarge people to look within (It is where your soul resides). To base your self-worth outside of self, brings to you many lessons in life. Self-worth is our foundation that our egos sing or scream out...so if when we choose to play "small", "victim", "righteous" "justified", "large" or what ever role that is less than positive we are choosing less than our possibilities....it is just less that what we can be. In our teachings, we encourage our students to learn to keep what "resonates" for them, not others for it is there that we learn with less pain. Relationships should "decorate" our life, but for some they are our life. What happens when someone decides to leave that relationship if your self worth is based on it? A whole lot of pain. So as there is a need for balance in most things in life...here too....it is wise to have a balanced self-worth that always is the calling card of our ego. We must help ourselves, if we want to help, or be of service to others. As with the woman who is looking for love......she won't find it sitting at home the only deliveries that happen are ups (brown uniform), postal person...and they are usually not where you will find it. GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE and start living, whether it is getting involved in your community, helping out, or hanging out. CHOOSE where you want to be, CREATE a purpose for being there, and WALK your life through choosing not settling for who is around you, by continuing this quest. Get out of the self destruction of low self esteem and LIVE, one foot in front of the other, EVERY DAY. Be PRESENT to where you are NOT,where you have been, or where you are going; for today was yesterday and tomorrow will be today! LIVE, ENJOY, SING, LAUGH, PLAY and WORK; bringing to you what you want by what you CHOOSE everyday. Remember every day is the new day.....make your time count.
