While working as a hospice nurse I visited a woman who was talking extremely fast to the ceiling her family thought she had lost it but after listening to her i realized she was talking to someone we could not see.after a very lengthy conversation she reached an agreement with whom ever and it was decided she would pass away the following monday night her daughter -in-law was there throughout most of the conversation with me and we were not surprised when she passed away.

It is very common that before one passes they begin seeing people on the other side. It is comforting, don't you think? It is nice to know they are not alone and that there is more than what we typically see to life here. Thanks for sharing.

I was wondering about our little 1 yr old daughter. We believe she is able to see her 4 year old brother who died 2 1/2 years ago from cancer. We were not planning on having any more children after the loss of our son, in fact we should not have been capable. We shockingly discovered we were expecting, and we can't help but believe she is our little gift from God and our little boy. Our little girl looks just like him too, which is so Amazing!!! When we mention his name or ask her about him, she looks around the room, usually above us, and reaches her hand out and sometimes smiles or waves. It is not a random pointing somewhere, she actually appears to be looking around searching for him when we ask her if she sees him. She sometimes says "Baby" which she often refers to other children, even children older than she. She recognizes pictures of him on our computer and on the walls. We feel she really is seeing him, and it always brings tears of joy to my eyes! My question is this, will she continue to have this ability? Is there anything we can do to encourage her to keep it, and to communicate with her brother?
Thank You for offering this Awesome site for us to be a part of!! After reading your book Susan, I feel so Honored to be on your list!!! I was at a Q102 radio even this spring and met you both!! Christine you mentioned "Dandelions" to me that night, that we would have a bumper crop of dandelions. Well I have to tell you that I talked with my son the day before the event, and dandelions were one of the things I mentioned to him. He used to pick me dandelions and proudly run in the house to give them to me!! He loved to give them to me and I loved to get them from him!! So dandelions are very special!! And YES we did have a bumper crop, not only in our yard, but the whole darn county had a bumper crop!!! THANK YOU!!!
God Bless you both for your wondrous works!!

Kelly,
Not only is it possible for your daughter to see her brother, it is natural...AND...a validation that life exists on this side and the non physical. The answer to your question...can she stay open to this....YES...it is important for parents to remember that children look to you for their validations..so when a child "sees" something that scares them...instead of saying, "it doesn't exist" why not empower them by teaching them by validating them and giving them tools...like..."boo" and it goes away. It is through our life's experiences that we either close down, stay open or open up to spirituality.
And thank you for your nice words about our work. We believe in what we do, and reach out to help people where ever we can. Thank you to Q102 for helping to make this possible.

A few days before my dad died in a nursing home, I decided to take his picture with my digital camera. Even though I didn't see anything strange in the viewer at the time, I printed the picture and found several orbs all around him. I would love to submit this to you so you can see for yourself. I believe it was his family that have passed before him. My mother also said he was always looking at the ceiling and putting his hand up in the air to something invisible to her. She would ask him if he wanted something and he would act startled when she talked and he would stop doing that. Also, the night he passed, I felt his presence near me before I got the call that he was gone. My son and I have had strange but not frightening things happen to us that we relate to my dad. I often get signs from people I know that have passed and for some reason, my son gets many physical signs that somewhat freak him out. No one else in the family seem to have these things happen to them. My Grandmother and my Great Aunt, (her sister), used to have these experiences too. My granddaughter always saw little children that never existed to us and even acted like she was holding their hands and would talk to them. Toys in her room would turn on by themselves too. I sometimes think I'm a little nuts because I think I can sense what a person is thinking or feeling and what they are secretly up to. Many of my suspicions turn to be accurate and it spooks people around me. I feel very sensitive to people and often over eat out of the stress I feel around them. Am I just imagining these things or is there something to what I'm saying? How can you tell the difference?

Whether it is signs that spirit is around at the time of death, in your home, or whatever you are doing in life....demonstrates the continuity of life bridging both worlds. At times, such as your Dad's impending death are opportunities for us to get a better glimpse into "we are not alone even when we feel lonely, sad despair, hurt or whatever", and it is natural for us as we transition to the other side or just come in from the other side....to be in close communication with it. And what a great validation that unconditional love transcends both worlds. Afterall, if we love someone here, when they die...do we still love and care about them? You bet! Same way in reverse, but spirit has a much broader view from where they are and so unconditional love and caring takes on a much broader dimension. Eternal life does not start some day off in the future, it exists.
It is common to witness people dying connecting with those on the other side and to hear from people who have just passed or are about to pass away. Why is that? Because we (in the physical world) are more open to the communication, at certain times than others. If you read our book, Communicating with Grace, you will see this kind of communication happening alot. (And, they are true events) Spirit communicates through our thoughts, through electricity, songs on the radio, feathers or money at your feet, and many other ways. Children are open to communication until they are told or taught different. How nice it would be to keep the lines of communication open.
We joke around-- (Christine and Susan) ...that Christine does not want me on other side (besides the obvious) because there wouldn't be any distance between us. I could talk to her, whenever I feel like it...could you only imagine, I wouldn't have to dial the phone or drive over to her house, because I could just be there. I would probably talk her ears off. But, all kidding aside, It is a blessing to know that death does not have to stop the communication or love, death is only the transition to releasing the physical body when it no longer can be of service to the spirit.
For all the grieving clients that have lost their children, children who have lost their parents, partners who have lost that love of their lives...one things rings out....and that is ......that we love and care for those souls whether we are here or there and then the soul does NOT DIE.
Everyone has extra sensory skills (Chris and I like "Extra Sensory Specialists" on our business cards) we use it even when we deny it. That is what "lucky breaks", "intuition" ,"sixth sense", "gut feeling", "sensing" is. So perhaps, some people in your family acknowledged it more than others. but we have all gotten by, by the seat of our pants, when we can't explain how, but we just did. People make to much out of psychic, it isn't super human, or something to prove or disprove, it just is part of us. To gain a closer connection with it, is just acknowledging another part of you.
And last, but not least.....over eating because....is only giving yourself an excuse to something. When you are aware of a behavior...you can change it or keep it. And, falling victim to your natural abilities, is just "falling victim". You don't have to stay victim, pick yourself up and own your own power. Take care of yourself, don't be less when--you are so much more.

I have taken many pictures that these Orbs appear in? I too, would like to know if this could be our loved ones joining in, or as some sceptically say...just a reflection or dust?

After not seeing or talking to a friend for 14 years, I heard yesterday that her husband, who was 40 yrs. old collasped, and died on Sunday right in front of her and her two children. He had just finished a race and was driving his motorcycle to the truck when he fell over. Then today, I was outside this morning, and it's like his face just came to me, so clearly and saying please go see her. I could feel how happy and free he was, but because his wife and I didn't leave on very good terms all those years ago. I thought I can't go do that, that's crazy.. but I did, I went over to see her and she is absolutely in the worst pain I've ever seen. I finally got the nerve to tell her what I saw this morning ... it seems to help a little.. but then she said where is he?? I am glad I went to see her, but this has happened to me before - it seems a few hours after the death of someone has happened I see and even feel spirits of the people go thru me, what does that mean? And how soon should she wait to have a reading... she wants one immediatley.. please help.. Thanks for your help,
J Jameson

There is no time frame, waiting period or grace period on the otherside. However with that being said we suggest that someone wait a little bit. The next day or even week might be a bit soon for most. Your friend would have to do what feels right for her to do. If she feels she is ready than let no one tell her any different. - Susan and Christine

It was about 15 years ago, my son, the only child at the time, was 2 years old playing in his bedroom. I was on the phone w/my husband's now mother-in-law, Carol. She could hear him talking, giggling and laughing -- carrying on, by himself, or so I thought.
Carol suggested I ask my son what he was doing, he said, "playing with my friend." Carol said to ask & I did, "who are you playing with?" He said, "Betty." Both Carol & I were speechless.
Betty was my husband's Grandmother whom died when I was just a few months pregnant with our son. My husband was so very close w/her, loved her so much & really took it hard when she passed.

Children are so open. This is more normal than some think or want to think. It is so nice to know that they still get to know and love the ones we have loved and "lost". -Susan and Christine
